The Journey
In 1973 ... From the planetary influence of Libra in 1960's ... think free love and flower power ... Australia's very own Woodstock - The Aquarius Festival -was held in the remote village of Nimbin, hidden away in the vast rainforests of Northern NSW, attracting the peace loving hippies to settle and form alternate communities in the dairy and logging community. Creating the hippy Mecca, we know and love so well.
Then came the decadence of the 80's with it came the full force of the unpredictable planetary influence of Scorpio * Giving birth to the feral punk; wild and nefarious children of these most ancient and precious forests ... daring to became "The Fae & Fearless Ferals" of "NEFA” … and too many other groups and individuals to name.
Not for the first time ...Green and Black united to save our Mother Gaia
1980
The Beginning
My Activism officially began in 1977, when I joined Greenpeace after the seeing the clubbing of baby Harp seals ... I was 10 years old but I had such passion to make a difference.
1993
First Milestone
Found my heart and homeland in Byron Bay.
Joined NEFA - North East Forest Alliance and The Greens NSW, when still in their infancy.
We lobbied in the Supreme, Federal and State courts. After 6 successful legal battles against Forest NSW for breaching their own legal and ethical obligations - FINALLY the "Threatened Species Act 1995" was passed through NSW Legislation. 2 weeks later the governing body issued " A License to Kill" our endangered species (007 style) to multi nationals who cared only for the minerals in the ground, never the sentient beings of the forest.
