Wild Hunai is an independent Australian circular-fashion store created for people who believe beautiful clothes deserve more than one life.

We collect vintage, discontinued and preloved Australian bohemian fashion, with a particular love for collectible Spell & the Gypsy pieces.

Many pieces in our collection are no longer available through traditional retail. Some have travelled through wardrobes for more than a decade before finding their way to Wild Hunai.

That history is part of what makes them special.

Is Wild Hunai Australia a Spell stockist?

No.

Wild Hunai Australia is an independent collector and reseller and is not an authorised Spell stockist or affiliated with Spell.

Our Spell pieces are individually sourced for the Wild Hunai collection rather than purchased wholesale from the brand.

This is also why you'll often discover discontinued collections, unusual colourways and pieces from earlier Spell eras in our store.

Are your Spell garments authentic?

Authenticity is extremely important to us.

We carefully assess the pieces we acquire and do not knowingly sell counterfeit Spell garments as authentic.

Older collectible garments can vary considerably in labels, fabrication, construction and condition depending on their era.

If you're unsure about a particular piece, please contact us before purchasing. We're always happy to provide further information or additional photographs when available.

What is a collectible Spell piece?

For Wild Hunai, collectible Spell generally refers to discontinued pieces and collections that are no longer available through normal retail channels.

Some pieces become particularly sought after because of their print, design, fabrication, rarity or place within Spell's history.

Collectability does not necessarily mean perfection.

A much-loved vintage piece may show signs of its previous life — and we believe that history is part of the story.

CONDITION & VINTAGE

Are your clothes brand new?

Some pieces may be unworn and still retain their original tags, while others are preloved or vintage.

We prefer the term Original Tags rather than automatically describing an older garment as "Brand New With Tags".

A garment released many years ago has still aged, even if it has never been worn. Natural fibres, elastic, lace, trims and delicate fabrics can change over time.

Please read the individual listing carefully for the condition of the garment you're considering.

What does Wild Hunai mean by vintage?

Within the Wild Hunai collection, we use "vintage" primarily to identify older fashion pieces and earlier designer eras within our specialist resale collection.

Vintage and archival clothing should not be expected to present exactly like a newly manufactured garment.

Minor signs of age, storage or previous wear can be part of owning an older piece.

Significant faults known to us are disclosed wherever possible in the individual product description.

What condition should I expect?

Every garment has lived a different life.

Depending on the individual piece, you may see natural fading, gentle fabric wear, minor pulls, ageing elastic, softened fabric or other signs associated with age and previous wear.

Please treat the individual product description and original product photographs as your primary condition reference.

SIZING & FIT

I'm unsure about my Spell size. Can you help?

Absolutely.

Spell sizing has changed considerably across collections and eras.

Earlier designs can fit quite differently from later releases, and the same labelled size can feel different depending on the cut, fabric, elastic, bust design and intended silhouette.

Never rely solely on the size printed on the label when buying an older garment.

Where possible, use the measurements provided in the listing and compare them with a similar garment that already fits you comfortably.

Can you provide individual measurements?

Where possible, yes.

Because many Wild Hunai pieces are one-of-a-kind, we're happy to help with additional measurements or garment information before you make your decision.

ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECES

Do you restock sold-out garments?

Usually not.

Much of Wild Hunai is made up of individually sourced pieces, so when something sells there may not be another one waiting in the storeroom.

Occasionally another example of the same design finds its way back to us — sometimes months or even years later.

That's part of the adventure of collecting vintage fashion.

If you love a unicorn, don't assume another one is coming.

PHOTOGRAPHY & AI

Does Wild Hunai use AI in its photography?

Yes — and we believe in being open about it.

Wild Hunai uses a combination of real photography, original garment references and AI-assisted creative editing.

Artificial intelligence is one of the creative tools we use to develop our fashion editorials, lifestyle campaigns and the visual world surrounding Wild Hunai.

Why do you use AI-assisted photography?

Wild Hunai is a small independent circular-fashion business, not a large fashion house with a studio, production crew, international locations and campaign-sized budgets.

AI gives us an extraordinary creative tool for telling the stories of garments that might otherwise simply appear against a plain wall or on a hanger.

We can take inspiration from real garments and photography and place them within the beaches, old farmhouses, Australian landscapes and bohemian environments that form the visual world of Wild Hunai.

For us, it is storytelling.

Are the garments being sold real?

Absolutely.

The garment you purchase from Wild Hunai is a real physical garment.

AI-assisted campaign imagery does not replace the original photographs and information used to document the item being offered for sale.

Can AI alter the appearance of a garment?

Yes.

Like other forms of digital image creation and editing, AI can occasionally interpret details differently.

Small differences may occur in print placement, colour, texture, trims, proportions, buttons, seams or other construction details.

For that reason, editorial and AI-enhanced lifestyle imagery should never be used as the sole reference for the exact condition or construction of a garment.

Always refer to the original product photographs, measurements, condition notes and written product description when making your purchasing decision.

Do you use AI to hide faults?

No.

AI-assisted imagery is used for creative and editorial storytelling — not to conceal damage or misrepresent the condition of a garment.

Known significant faults should be disclosed in the product listing.

Are the Wild Hunai lifestyle images real photographs?

Our visual storytelling can include real photography alongside digitally enhanced, composited or AI-created elements.

Think of these images as Wild Hunai fashion editorials — a visual interpretation of our Australian bohemian world rather than a claim that every image is an untouched documentary photograph.

How quickly will my order be sent?

Wild Hunai is a slow-fashion business and each order is individually prepared and checked before leaving us.

We aim to dispatch orders promptly, but we're not a giant automated warehouse — and we're quite happy about that.

Tracking information will be provided when your parcel is dispatched.

Where is Wild Hunai located?

Wild Hunai Australia is based in the beautiful Northern NSW region, close to the Queensland border.

Our location is part of who we are: mountains, forests, rivers, waterfalls and the coast all influence the Wild Hunai aesthetic.

Being regional can occasionally affect shipping during severe weather, bushfires, flooding or other disruptions.

When that happens, safety comes first.

Do you ship internationally?

International shipping availability and pricing can vary by destination.

Where international delivery is available, customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or other charges imposed by their destination country.

These charges are separate from the purchase and shipping cost paid to Wild Hunai.

RETURNS, EXCHANGES & PROBLEMS

What if my garment isn't right for me?

Because many Wild Hunai garments are vintage, collectible and one-of-a-kind, purchasing them is different from purchasing mass-produced fashion.

Please read the individual listing carefully and check measurements, photographs and condition before purchasing.

Our current return, exchange and refund conditions are set out in our Refund Policy, which should always be consulted before placing your order.

Nothing in our store policies is intended to exclude any rights you may have under applicable Australian consumer law.

What if my item arrives damaged or isn't what I ordered?

Please contact us promptly.

Include your order details and clear photographs of the item and packaging where relevant so we can investigate what has happened and work with you toward an appropriate resolution.

CARING FOR COLLECTIBLE FASHION

How should I care for older Spell garments?

Gently.

Many earlier Spell garments use delicate rayon, lace, embroidery, elastic, tassels and trims that deserve considerably more care than everyday fast fashion.

Always check the garment's original care label first.

Avoid unnecessary washing, harsh detergents, excessive heat and rough handling.

Proper storage matters too — particularly for delicate elastic, lace and vintage fabrics.

When we care for beautiful clothes properly, they can continue their journey through another wardrobe and another generation.

And that is what circular fashion is all about.
