Wild Hunai established in 2018 as a circular fashion entrepreneur. I set out to create my own version of an online shopping platform for Circular Fashion.
Here in Australia, so many shopping platforms are internationally owned; we work hard to create our business only to find that multi-national corporations are siphoning huge profits through these well known apps. I would rather my spending money went to a small, local business. Australian brands have now realized that circular fashion is here to stay and know that customers are well informed of the huge global impacts of fast fashion, and will hold their fav Brands accountable for sustainable processes.
There are hundreds of unique, one only products in my store, and it can be overwhelming when you first arrive, but a few little tricks and you will soon know your way around.
Are your clothes brand new?
I really struggle with the term "Brand New with Tags or BNWT". It is so often not the case and how can something be brand new when it was released in 2008 or 2012? It's not brand new.
Delicate fabrics and lace will perish over time even if not worn, unless you take great measures to care for your garments. I can tell when a garment has been worn and then the tags tied back on, I'm sure you can too.I think that "Original Tags" is a more honest description. Brand new is an unopened item, in it's original packaging. I would love your feedback on my way of describing collectable items.
Vintage for the purpose of this site = Excellent Used Condition for garments made from 2005 - 2020. Vintage items may have minor faults. Spell fabrics and laces are extremely delicate, any major faults will be disclosed in the description of the item. I am happy to send real images on request and answer any questions prior to purchase.
What are Fakes?
Fakes are not replicas, they have been made by tricksters to pass for real Spell, using counterfeit Spell size and care tags and can be challenging to identify.
Check out the "Spell ID Fakes and ID" Facebook page, you will find some great information and guidance to keep you well informed with your Spell purchases.
What are copies and Spell inspired replicas?
This is mainly in reference to the replica graphic tees & tanks and replica dresses. It is obviously the Spell graphic or print but I hesitate to use the correct Spell name as it is not authentic Spell.
These items are brand new, and sourced through the most ethical supplier I can find. These products are stocked by popular demand by our customers.
Do you restock sold out items?
For the majority of our products, we tend to keep only one of items and sizes as these special Spell pieces are becoming more and more elusive as the years pass.

I'm unsure of my size in Spell, where do I find this information?
There is extensive information on the World Wide Sizing page wherever you live in the world. However, we know that Spell sizing varies drastically from collection to collection, year to year. Earlier releases were very small fitting, often with much less stretch in waist and hips, with fitted or low cut bust lines. Later releases are much more inclusive extending sizing to Extra Extra Large with stretch waists.
Don't be scared to alter your pieces to fit you perfectly, they are made for that!

My discount code isn't working, what do I do?
It may be that the discount code has expired, or that items in your cart don't qualify for the promotion.

What packaging do you use?
Organza and hemp bags are my choice for packaging your Spell garment for shipment. This elminates mix ups as the garmet is clearly visible, Your order is then wrapped in tissue paper and packaged tightly to minimalize damage or loss during transit.
Do you have Spell Calico Care bags?
When will I receive my order?
That depends on where you are. Orders processed within Australia will take 5-7 business days to arrive. International orders are now arriving in a timely manner after covid.
Great care is taken when packaging your order and this may take a little longer than major supply stores. Each item is carefully checked and you will be notified prior to shipment if there is any concerns or details that you need to know. This really is slow fashion.

Can I order by phone?
We try to make our online store as user-friendly as possible and we encourage our customers to use the online store because of it's convenience for them. When can I pick up my order?
When you select In-store Pick-Up, you can pick up your items at an arranged time.
While we hope you love your order, we realise sometimes things just don't work out. We dso not offer refunds on vintage designs.

Damaged or Defective Items:

Wild Hunai is located in a tiny village, nestled in the mountains and valleys of Northern NSW, close to the Queensland border. 2 hours due West from Byron Bay; the mighty Clarence River begins here. Surrounding by the majestic forests and breath taking waterfalls that nourish our vibrant coastline.
The beauty of our location is that our local Post Mistress handles all our orders personally and nothing escapes her attention to detail. We usually Ship in 48 hours after purchase, please be aware there could be some delays due to our bush location.
In times of bushfires, shipping will be delayed until it is again safe for drivers to be on the roads.
All orders are shipped with registered post - "Signature on Delivery". This results in minimum loss or damage to your parcel. Please check your parcel completely before signing. Do NOT sign for a package with missing contents!
Missing/Damaged/Incorrect items in my shipment, what do I do?
We are SO sorry this happened. We do our best to make sure every package goes out perfect, and we truly apologize for this inconvenience.
Unfortunately, there is limited assistance we can provide but if you connect with Australia Post and lodge an enquiry for assistance with delayed, missing or lost packages .

Why do I have extra customs duties and taxes?
The Australian HS code for pre-loved fabric and the value of items is declared on your customs slip and International customers are required to pay any incurred fees at your end. The fees will vary from country to country, depending on our trade agreements. This seems to impact more on some European countries.
All parcels are sent via standard tracked postage.
Postage prices vary due to weight.
If your parcel is valued at more then $100 extra cover is required if parcel is lost or damaged, if there is any issues during transit please make a claim through Australia Post website providing details of parcel.
