Photography & AI

Does Wild Hunai Australia use AI-generated imagery?

Wild Hunai Australia uses a combination of real photography and AI-assisted image editing.

Our original photographs, garment photographs and product references may be enhanced or creatively modified using artificial intelligence and other digital editing tools.

AI is part of our creative process — it is not a substitute for accurately representing the pieces we sell.

Why does Wild Hunai use AI?

AI-assisted editing allows us to creatively tell the Wild Hunai story while giving beautiful vintage and collectible garments another moment in the spotlight.  We are a small independent circular-fashion business, not a large fashion house with access to studios, photographers, models and international campaign budgets.  We may use it to refine lighting, remove distracting backgrounds, create editorial environments, extend scenes or develop the visual storytelling surrounding a garment.

Are the garments real?

Yes.

The vintage and collectible garments offered for sale by Wild Hunai Australia are real pieces from our collection.

Where AI-assisted editorial imagery is used, we work from photographs and reference images of the actual garment or design and aim to preserve its identifiable characteristics as accurately as possible.

Can AI change how a garment looks?

It can — which is why we believe transparency matters.

AI editing can occasionally interpret small details differently, including colour, print placement, texture, proportions, trims or construction.

For this reason, AI-enhanced lifestyle or editorial photographs should not be relied upon as the sole reference for an item's exact condition or construction.

Where an item is offered for sale, please refer to the original product photographs, description, measurements and condition information provided with the listing.

Do you change the models using AI?

Wild Hunai features three real-life models: Kaz Wild, her sister Celeste, her lifelong best friend Agnes  and of course, Magic 'Suga' Pele, the Bull Terrier. We blend real photography of our little tribe with AI-enhanced environments to bring our collection to life.  Along the way, you might also catch a glimpse of Wild’s beautiful daughter and her grandchildren joining in on the adventure, alongside sweet nods to the memory of my heavenly husband.

Some Wild Hunai campaign and editorial imagery may include AI-assisted modifications to real photographic references.  These modifications may include backgrounds, environments, lighting, clothing presentation, composition and other creative elements.

Our editorial imagery is designed to tell the Wild Hunai story and celebrate the Australian bohemian lifestyle rather than pretend every campaign photograph is an untouched documentary photograph.

Are the farmhouse, beach and lifestyle scenes real?

Wild Hunai's visual world is inspired by real Australian coastal, rural and bohemian environments.

However, individual campaign images may combine real photographic references with AI-generated or AI-modified elements.

As a result, an image should be understood as fashion editorial storytelling, rather than necessarily a literal photographic record of a particular place or moment.

Do you use AI to hide faults or misrepresent the condition of vintage clothing?

No.

AI-enhanced editorial imagery is not intended to conceal stains, damage, repairs, fading, wear or other condition issues.

Vintage and preloved clothing naturally carries signs of its previous life, and those details form part of its history.

Condition should always be assessed from the original product photographs and the written description supplied with the individual listing.

How can I tell what I'm actually buying?

Before purchasing, we recommend reviewing the item's:

  • Original product photographs
  • Written condition description
  • Measurements
  • Size information
  • Fabric and garment details
  • Photographs showing any significant wear or imperfections

If an editorial image and an original product photograph appear different, the original product photograph and written listing should always be treated as the authoritative reference for the item being sold.

Is AI replacing traditional photography at Wild Hunai?

No.

We love photography.

AI simply gives a small circular-fashion business another creative tool — much like photo editing, colour grading, cropping and traditional retouching have done for decades.

Real photography remains an important part of documenting our garments and telling their stories.

Why are you open about using AI?

Because we believe customers deserve to understand how the imagery they see has been created.

Fashion imagery has always involved styling, lighting, retouching and creative direction. AI introduces another layer to that process, and we believe its use should be acknowledged rather than hidden.

Our approach is simple:

Real garments. Real photography. AI-assisted creativity. Honest disclosure.

What is Wild Hunai trying to achieve with this imagery?

To make circular fashion feel exciting again.

Many of the garments we collect have already lived extraordinary lives. Some are discontinued. Some have become highly collectible. Others have been forgotten and are waiting to be discovered again.

Our photography and AI-assisted editorial work allows us to imagine these pieces back where they belong — being worn, loved, travelled in, danced in and lived in.

Because at Wild Hunai Australia, we don't believe beautiful clothing should disappear simply because its original season has passed.

The garment is real.
The story continues.
